How can online singles ensure that their online profile picture will emit the right type of image to potential partners?
I am currently trying to plan my daughter’s second birthday. This is an exciting time for me. I am in conflict about how I should include my boyfriend in this event. My situation is much different from others. My boyfriend is still 800 miles away in Atlanta. This makes it difficult to include him in these other aspects of my life.
If he were not that far away, I do believe that it is important to include the person that you are dating in other parts of your life. I am still asking my boyfriend for his opinion of what I should do for my daughter’s birthday. If he were here, I would invite him and his son to the event. I believe that to truly date someone and build a relationship with them, you need to include them in your life.

I get a lot of questions from people about their online dating photos. They want advice on what you should wear, who should be in it, what kind of lighting you should have… Well, we’ve got a lot of those tips in an earlier blog post. The issue that I want to deal with today is the increasing number of people who ask me if they really have to put up a photo on their profile. For the most part, the answer is a big fat yes.
The only reasons not to have a photo on your online dating profile are job related. If your job puts you in the public eye a lot, it is understandable that you would not want to show your photo on your profile because people might contact you just because you are a little bit famous. The other main thing is if you are a teacher. I speak to a lot of teachers who are concerned that their students are going on to these dating sites and they don’t want their students seeing their ad. Those are really the only two reasons why you might not have a photo on your profile.
If this is the case, keep in mind that there is a big downside. Profiles with no photos get viewed 8 times less than those with photos. In this case, my basic rule of online dating applies: Be Proactive. You should never expect the person of your dreams to find you. It is your job to find them. When you don’t even put a photo on your profile, it makes it almost impossible for them to find you, so you better be willing to get off your butt and make the first move. As an alternative to no photo, you might want to consider making your profile private. I know Match, Yahoo, FriendFinder, and a lot of other sites all offer this option. It means that you can see other profiles, but no one can see yours until you contact them. If you do this, the people you email will get to see your photos and no one will suspect that you have something to hide.
One excuse that is just not good enough is: “But I have bad photos.”… Too bad, you have to get better ones. If you can’t get that done with a friend, you can consider a professional. Do not use Glamour Shots. It is a whole lot of money, for photos that just look fake. We recommend Lookbetteronline, a company that specializes in Online Dating photography. We have become a society that has done away with most face to face forms of communication. Instead of walking over to a coworker’s office and having a conversation with them, we just send an email. There is a trend growing when it comes to dating. The use of text messaging to talk to the person that you are dating is on the rise. Many people use this as the number one way that they communicate with the person that they are dating. This is a very cold and distant way to have a relationship go.
Text messaging can come in handy when it comes to dating. I often use texts to talk to my boyfriend when my daughter is asleep. However, this should never be the only way that the two of you communicate.

Understanding women has always caused some problems to the male species. No wonder men find it hard to approach the women they are interested in.

It’s a good thing that this era has seen the rise of online dating. Nowadays, men can approach women they fancy. They have the option to send email or instant messages. All they have to do is to know the email address and/or the IM name of the lady.
However, you still have to worry about the proper things to include in your email given that you do know the address that you would like to send your message to. There are some things that women find really disconcerting. The top on the list is a man wanting to get in her pants.
Here are some things to avoid putting in your emails to the lades.
First, do not ever write emails with sexual innuendos in them. Take for example, stating just how good you are in bed. Sure, women would appreciate someone to warm them on cold nights. However, no woman in her right state of mind would find such a message flattering. She doesn’t care how big your member is. Well, maybe not on the early stages of the dating process. Still, sending an email that has details regarding your sexual skills is a no-no. Send the message to a decent girl and you’ll surely get the cold shoulder.
Second, learn not to write anything that you would rather not say to a lady in her face. There’s a reason why you can’t and should not say it personally. Saying it in your emails or IM messages does not make it less insulting.
